My name is Janelle and I'm currently pursuing a degree in CIS: Networking and Cybersecurity at COCC. I am not employed, but I stay home to take care of my 2 year old and our animals while my spouse works. I like video games, drawing, sewing, and indulging in other crafts like baking or landscaping. I'm half-native from a mesoamerican tribe known as the "Chichimecas." A lot of the traditions and culture were erased due to the Spanish colonization, so I only know some information about the cryptids and language, Nahuatl.

I am returning student at COCC. I originally strove to be a Veterinarian having almost complete a Bachelor's degree in Biology. I hit an emotional and mental burnout from a combination of various life events. I took a break and it wasn't until after some much needed therapy, treatment, and healing that I realized my afinity for computers.

I've been on a computer since I was 11 but never saw it as something I should pursue professionally until last year. I'm happy to be back and have enjoyed my classes thus far.
